Packaged in a sleek almost-black purple bottle, with a label that looks like an upscale tattoo shop logo, Skin & Bones is a skincare product that, at least visually, stands out in the pack of natural, chemical-free beauty products. Business founders Heidi and Eric Jenkins have caught onto something that we at Blisstree can appreciate: Not everyone who wants a natural, therapeutic product is a pigtail-wearing, yoga-mat toting hippie! It’s tough, fashionable, and doesn’t look like a yoga retreat in a bottle. So I got my hands on some of the stuff to give it a whirl: Read More Here

Skin & Bones Debuts With All-In-One, Organic, Unisex Moisturizer
Organic. Unisex. All-In-One. Skin & Bones has launched its first product developed to eliminate the
daunting and overwhelming task of finding the right skin care moisturizer.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PR Log (Press Release) – Apr 28, 2010
Skin & Bones, a skin care and design company, has launched its first product developed to eliminate the
daunting and overwhelming task of finding the right skin care moisturizer. Skin & Bones is bringing skin
care back to the basics while keeping it safe, effective, and easy on the eyes with its high-end brand.
A moisturizer with a custom proprietary blend of 100% organic jojoba and nine therapeutic grade essential
oils, it is unisex, organic, and can be used anytime of day and night, anywhere on the body, and works for
all skin types to heal and nourish skin. The nine essential oils include: Ylang Ylang, Rosewood, Lemon,
Pink Grapefruit, Cedarwood, Sandalwood, Jasmine, Myrrh, and Frankincense. These essential oils were
chosen specifically for their skin targeting benefits and emotional healing properties, while giving the scent
an amazing depth.
The uses of Skin & Bones are virtually unlimited; face, body, hands, feet, stretch marks, cellulite, wrinkles,
dry skin, oily skin, with make-up, children, babies, infants, hair, scalp, split ends, after shave, cuticles,
over-treated skin, and as an after treatment for facials, Botox, peels, and tattoo removal.
Skin & Bones Founder, Heidi Jenkins, originally learned about the physical and emotional healing
properties of essential oils from Native American medicine people in Utah and Idaho. After years of
practice and personal use, Heidi started getting requests from family and friends after seeing the
improvement in her skin and how she smelled. She had never dreamed of selling her skin care but it worked
too well and she was tired of all of the “green” looking packaging. She also realized she could save people
a ton of time and energy with offering one product that does it all while being non-toxic.
“I was sick and tired of paying a lot of money for the same products repackaged and sold to me as “eye
cream” or “lip cream.” It is all the same stuff. More importantly, we do not know the long term affects of
synthetic ingredients. We do know that skin care goes straight to our blood stream and attaches to us on a
cellular level, so in my mind, it better be safe, effective, and not a bunch of by-product junk such as
parabens. I’ve talked to enough dermatologists to know you only need one moisturizer. The days of
gimmicks are over, the public is tired and distrustful so let’s just get real.”
